Using news or supplying news? We’ve got it covered

Newspaper content offers a rich and valuable resource to any organisation. A NLA licence provides permission and access to all the news that you and your clients need . And we are pleased to announce that we now cover the increasing volume of valuable content on newspaper websites.

We are the representative of the most respected newspapers in the UK - that’s 1500 print titles, 900 websites and millions of daily articles. So whatever your news requirements, we’ve got it covered.

Does your organisation supply or use news?

As newspapers continue to invest in the development of their web content, professional monitoring of newspaper websites has grown. The NLA seeks to support and encourage this.

The NLA is responding to the changes in media monitoring in two ways:

  • We are investing in the development of an eClips Web database service, that will improve the quality of web monitoring offered by web aggregators and press cutting agencies.
  • We are extending our licensing to include the distribution of newspaper website content for business purposes.
  • The NLA's licensing of web content applies to commercial web aggregators and their clients – B2B only. Charging will apply to commercial companies who copy and crawl newspaper web content and resell the content, as part of a paid service.
